IF YOU CLAIM TO BE CHRISTIAN AND YOU LISTEN TO "WORLDLY/SECULAR" MUSIC YOU ARE GOING TO HELL ON A FIRST CLASS TICKET.

This is a very very simple thing, if you are a christian and you listen to worldly music, you are polluting the "temple of God" that exists inside of you. Worldly/Secular music is music such as rap/rock/metal rock that do not glorify the almighty. EDJ my catholic friend, will argue that this is not true. Please my fellow christians, set her straight. My friend tagged me in a note on facebook talking about this "christians listening to secular music ish". It is very clear that christians who listen to such music are going to "hell" because it is simple "hypocrisy". You can't claim to be christian and then listen to such ungodly music, what kind of example are you setting for we who are in the world? I will assume that upto 75% of christians listen to secular music and even I myself when I was a christian use to listen to secular music.
I use to be a choir leader when I was still a christian, and I use to remix secular songs and make them into christian songs. I remember taking songs like "Imagine That" by styl plus and turning it into a christian song and that day there was a visting preacher to my church. After the service, he called me aside and told me he loved the praise and worship and how I have a gift for leading people in praise/worship. But he let me know something about me remixing "secular songs and making them into christian gospel songs".
He gave me this analogy about the "remixing" of songs "Controversy never cook God's soup in Devil's pot". Now that analogy honestly opened my eyes then, because I always knew deep down that that was what I was doing. So in regards to christians who think that they will still make it to heaven, after listening to such secular music day and night and convincing/deluding yourself that "Yes, I am going to heaven" I say to you. "No dull yourself" All of you who listen to such music shall join I, Enoch and Blasphemy on our flight to hell and I must say that I am happy with this fact lol. If I have been right with my criticism of the bible/christianity, then christians such as yourselves will not go to Heaven, because there is no Heaven. If christians such as yourselves are right, then most of you will still not go to Heaven, because most christians are hypocrites." This knowledge makes me chuckle, because honestly from my perspective it's a Win/Lose position, but for most of you and I will venture to say that for about 95% of you, it is indeed a LOSE/LOSE situation. Whole lot of religious hypocrites out there. I will leave you all with this quote "Go to heaven for the climate, and to hell for the company".

Controversy that was just a very Evil thing to say LMAO! How can you be happy and excited about people going to hell!

It is not what goes in the man but what comes out that defiles him so I don't agree that the music we listen to will send us to Hell. I love Hip Hop but I love Praising God more. God sees my heart and His grace is sufficent for me.

In that case, heaven will be so empty that the people who made it here will beg God to deport them to hell!or God will do an anmesty program to bring more people to Heaven

Azazel said...

La Kunbita
Well it already says that Many are called, but few are chosen. So don't worry about heaven being empty.

@ Toochukwu
Hahahah look @ u tryna compromise ur beliefs here.. U know very well that if the hip hop u listen to is not glorifyin to God, then it defiles your body..

@ honey91
Hey babe lol u know i have nothin against it o. But lets stick to the topic @ hand ok hun? I really want an answer to this question

@ lady X
Lol well it's true hun.

I agree with Lady X in that all of you should rethink your happiness in going to hell. But in all seriousness, the ONLY way to guarantee a spot for yourselves in Hell according to the Bible is to REJECT Jesus Christ as God's son and the ONLY way to God the Father and to Heaven. The Bible says that if you do not take Jesus as your Savior, then you are going to hell.

Now, as for secular music: the Bible says in Phillipians 4:8 that "what is good, pure, kind, and of good report, you should think on these things," and then verse 9 says that "the God of peace will be with you." Now, that does NOT imply that if you listen to secular music that you will go to hell, BUT it does reinforce my former points that God is the opposite of sin and He cannot be around sin. So, if you want the presence of God around you, you need to do things that are holy. Once you are listening to music talking about b****es and hoes and sex, drugs, violence, you are pushing God's presence and anointing away from you. As Christians, we aim to be close to God not only because we love Him but also so that we can hear His voice and hear the instructions He has for us.

@Tochukwu
Don't kid yourself. You want to listen to the music and then while the artists go to hell, you'll be enjoying heaven?

Azazel said...

Ah cuzzo personally I have no problem going to hell.
I want to go adn meet socrates, echecrates, plato, leo tolstoy and the likes of them..
Those men were wise .. and all of them where not christian.. So they are all in hell, so please forgive me for wantin to go to hell and talk to them about stuff.
Cuzzo u want to tell me that u've never listened to music that does not "glorify" God

Azazel said...

@ Enoch
Hahahahahhahaahhahahahaha omg bro u have killed me today..
WOW hahahahahahhahahhahahahhahahahaahahahahaha so true..
So the artistes go dey go hell, and he will be on his way to heaven..

Lady X said...

LMFAO @ Enoch's comment. Mehn the comments this blog gets are too interesting!

@Enoch and Controversy: leave Tobechukwu alone. He should change his music choices, but he is right, according to Biblical doctrine. And, Controversy, I used to listen to music that wasn't glorifying to God, but I've since changed my listening habits for the reasons I explained in my reply: I always want to honor God and I always want to feel Him with me.

Azazel said...

He is right accordin to which biblical doctrine?

He said he loves praisin God more, so that means God will understand if he engages in a little sin now and then? Wow such a role model christian

TRYBES said...

Bro,i love how you play your aces but on this one,im with Toochukwu. The substance of a man is based on what comes out of him and not what goes in cuz lots of garbage and otherwise will def go in.

Azazel said...

@ Trybes.
I might concede that Toochukwu is right, but then that would mean it would be ok to watch porn as long as u do not go out to rape anybody? That would mean it's ok to go clubbing, drinkin, smokin just as long as u none of those things manifest themselves then it's ok..
Come on trybes, u know better than that bro. So as Enoch said, the artistes themselves go to hell, but the ppl that listen to them don't?

juiceegal said...

You know what......u're right..even in islam..listenin to secular music is a sin..but just like most things these religions preach...we human beings go against it. But then its not in ur place to say who is going to hell or not. :P

Lmao @"Go to heaven for the climate, and to hell for the company".

Come to think of it, its not just listening to secular music, we go against almost all the doctrines or maybe better still should nots of religions and expect to make heaven.

But as they say, God is merciful and it is by his grace that we shall make heaven not by our actions alone.

go to heaven for the climate nd hell for the company.....lol

I have a problem with you describing secular music in terms of the genre.implying that rock, metallic or pop are secular....there are many songs dat glorify God in different genres , even mainstream artists sometimes sing songs that glorify God . So its not the genre that decides what's gospel its the words of the song.
Look ehn, xtians choose what to obey in the bible, its nt by my works I will go to heaven its by Gods grace.

Which of course leaves everything to God's discretion bt GOd will choose moi....lol

My real concern is what we willing be doin in heaven cos even one of my youth pastors cud nt answer

Azazel said...

@ttolla
I love u hun, @ least ur bing honest..
Christians do choose what to accept in the bible.
I didn't mean that those genre's of music were sinful, i was just pointin them out. Of cus there are artistes in those genres who sing songs that glorify God.
I shall address what we might be doing in heaven in my next post.

Enoch said...

@ttlolla
What will you be doing in heaven? Don't act like you don't know. Standing at attention praising God for all eternity.

Your leg go pain you ehhn!!!

Mean while we go off fire for hell praise ourselves and start a party.

@Sacred
Please I beg you come back to the blog. We can not go on without you to tame our teenage excesses.

Azazel said...

Hahaha @ Enoch..
Yep we go they party every night for hell, while them peeps spend their time chilling in heaven praisin God 24/7 for eternity.. ppl dat aren't able to praise God for a whole day, without grumbling are now expected to serve him for an eternity.. Serious STORY!!

nonny said...

@ttlolla
every mainstream artist now puts a gospel song into their album. How can you sing about guns and b*****s for 14 tracks then have the 15th track saying 'thank you God'.

dmuragijimana said...

Okay lets argue on the issues...
now I haven't read this blog in its entirety because really. the title says it all.
Now, where in the Bible does it say that I am going to hell for listening to Frank Sinatra and Michael Buble?
Or for listening to Mozart?

Music in its purest sense is a gift to humanity. Those who have created music, and those who sing, have used music, whether it celebrates life, or celebrates God, as way of expression.
Do I agree with 50Cent? or whoever rappers are out there? nope. I don't really listen to them. If I do, its on radio.and half of the time, I can never tell the difference.
Celebrating life, love, joy, hope, and expressing all those through lyrics has not been a sin, as far as my Bible tells me.
I love Zouk, and will listen to that for as long as I can during the day, because that in its purest form, is celebrating love.
If those "secular" musicians are going to hell, it sure won't be because they are secular artists, it will be because of what they are putting out there, and how they are living their lives.
Let me ask you a question then....
Eating, driving, bathing, cooking, writing, etc...all are secular practices. and since I love doing all that, and do them daily, you want to condemn me to hell because I am not seating in a Church 24/7 praising God?
Check yourself please...and before you condemn everyone to hell, read the Bible again...and define the terms correctly.

Azazel said...

@ Reine
Damn am disappointed in you. I mean i would expect this from a novice christian but from u? Am tres shocked, since when did we start usin the route of " Oh if the bible did not say it, then it can't be a sin". So that's your answer? That the bible did not say you could not listen to frank sinatra? Wow seriously disappointed. Did the bible mention smoking? Yet we consider it as a sin. Did it mention doing drugs? Yet we consider those to as sins. I can honestly go on and on and on, but i think by now u should have seen my point.

@ Nonny
Help me ask ttolla o, that's what them dbanj self do. He'll committ sin on 7 tracks and then thank God on the 8th track. Such foolery

dmuragijimana said...

ile tres horrible.

@ controversy...
You are basic your argument on what then? that because it has been passed on down to generations, then obviously its a sin.
For your information...Smoking, drugs, drinking...not sin. However, those mentioned above, are not good for your health, and we have been asked to be stewards of our bodies. However, when anything, and I mean anything is done out of proportion, there is a saying, "too much of anything" is not good.
And I used the "if it not in the Bible" because you are the same one who gets riled up with what is and what is not in the Bible. U use the Bible as your weapon when it serves your purpose, and when it doesn't, you jide it away.

Azazel said...

Lol wow but this is the first time i've seen u resort to this kind of argument. Ok then with this ur "LOGIC" that u use.
IS slavery a sin? Or is sexism a sin? Because the bible does approve of it, so now i'll ask u. Since slavery is not viewed as a sin in the bible, it obviously cannot be a sin right? So the white man was right in "enslaving us" afterall they always pointed to the bible to justify enslavin the blacks. So am guessing, slavery is definitely not a sin, and if people like u were around 200 years ago u would definitely approve.

dmuragijimana said...

Slavery is not a sin, but neither do I approve of it. Slavery was wrong, it was atrocious. But a sin to go to hell, no. The Bible talks of slavery as not a good or wise practice, for that to be so, it has to transgress God's law. There are also two kinds of slavery, slaves that are treated properly, and slaves that are treated poorly. In a way, servants are slaves to their masters, workers are slaves to their bosses, but they are treated well. And the Bible does condemn Slavery if the slaves are treated poorly and without their due wages at the end of their slavery. God never intended, nor were the Hebrews ever permitted, to treat their slaves as cruelly and as unjustly as we know the south treated their slaves.
See, I think you are confusing code of conduct with sin. and on that, what christian definition are you using for sin, Easter or western...I would take since your examples are jumping to both sides, that you are an equal opportunist blasphemer.

1 Cor. 6:12 “Everything is permissible for me”—but not everything is beneficial. “Everything is permissible for me”—but I will not be mastered by anything.....
aka...even if smoking, drinking, listening to secular music, were sins, they do not become your tickets to hell.
this is all about moral choices.

Rhapsody Phoenix said...

Blessings....
This is a very provocative piece that sets the author up as all knowing with the right to cast aspersions unto others.
"He that is without sin, let him first cast a stone".

Azazel said...

Hahahaha @ slavery is not a sin.
Aight Reine argument over...
So slavery is not a sin? I love how u can say that, because u know i've caught u in a corner. So am assuming, ur ass would have enjoyed being a slave in the old days huH? Slavery is not a sin my foot, is segregation a sin? is Racism a sin?

@ Rhapsody
Ah u see that cannot work, because the author is deffinitely full of sin, infact I am deeped into sin and I say to u. ppl who are more sinlier than thou are in a better position to judge ppl who are holier than thou

dmuragijimana said...

actually, I am not in a corner at all dearest.
as I have pointed out, slavery, racism, and segragations....not sins, if if they are transcending God's law then yes, they become sins

Azazel said...

Lol Reine
That's just a mess, so none of those things are sins.. I thank God dat u weren't on the supreme court when they repealed plessy vs ferguson.. Our asses would still be seatin @ the back of the bus.

There are some songs I sing and I thnk that's not right bt hey am a work in progress

dmuragijimana said...

Hello Fool aka controversy
I did not say that it was right.
It was wrong...yes, was it a sin, no
differentiate.
people thought that eating pork was a sin too...so should I not eat pork?
also for women wearing pants was sin as an abomination...so should I go to hell because I wear jeans?

you need to stop putting yourself at moral ground where you can judge others based on what you "think" is sinful or not.

Azazel said...

am sorry is lying a sin? Or is it wrong?
Is murder a sin? or is it wrong?
Lol please nemesis ur makin a mockerey of urself here. Like i don't even feel comfortable replyin u anymore. So something can be wrong, and still not be a sin? Wat a mess.

dmuragijimana said...

Have you read the Ten commandments?
Actually you are the one making a mockery of yourself.
Slavery as defined by you is wrong.
Drinking, in moderation is okay
Smoking, if you are going to live with the consequences, then by all means...
Listening to "secular" music...not sinful.
It is not what goes in, but what comes out. If you drink and you end up killing, it is not the drinking that is a sin, it is the killing that got you.
if you listen to music that drives u to lie, murder, steal...then its not the music, but your actions.

Condemning people to hell, because they are listening to music is not stupid, but it is not your call to make.
Yes, we know your are self proclaimed sinner, with no intentions to change, and by your own admission seem to enjoy the prospect of hell. Thats good for you, but stop trying to drag others down with you.

Btw, no one is perfect. and any christian or otherwise, claims to be so, they are liars. Now that is a sin.

Azazel said...

Hahaha so lying is a sin?
So tell me on a scale of "wrongs"..
Lying is a more grievious "wrong" than enslaving your "fellow" man? Like that's a mess, how can u honestly sit there and say "enslavin ppl" is not a sin. and later u tell me that human life has been cheapened by humans. Yes u are right, it's ppl like u that cheapen it daily

dmuragijimana said...

okay now you are going from mockery to ridiculous
now its wednesday, my standing salsa date day...
and since I am not about to give you a theology on sin, I will end this with saying,
I listen to "secular music" I love it actually. No better evening with Frank sinatra and a glass of wine. And I am pretty sure I am not going to hell for that.

and Slavery, yea, it cheapens life...if you mean slaves being treated as less than human beings. No dear, people like you, cheapen life in general.

Azazel said...

Don't worry hun, it's ok..
U wouldn't be the first christian to justify their sin..and u definitely will not be the last
Ok ?
