HUMAN COMPASSION IS A JOKE!!!

So I just finished watching Blood Diamonds again, and well at the end of the movie they said only 40 countries signed an accord that would stop the illegal sale of diamonds, and this frigging made me sad this early morning. There are 200 countries in the world, how can only 40 countries sign an accord that stopped the illegal sale of diamonds. Diamonds btw which help put a lot of people in misery, people die for such shit. Honestly, yall shouldn't think I am one sentimental fool, but it bugs me how people can just stand by and watch people die like that.
I have a question for you guys, If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound"? I got this inspiration from   Enoch's Post, yall should check it out.  When did Human Life become so unprecious? Why has it lost so much value? Did yall know that before governments decide whether to go in and stop a genocide, they crunch numbers and see how much money it would cost to go in and end a massacre. Such coldheartedness, how the hell does money compare to Human Life? This is a classic case of "what will it profit a man to gain the whole world yet lose his/her soul". Honestly, humanity has lost it's soul. Human Compassion is now a joke, just because you say "Aww" and "Wow" after hearing about suffering does not mean that you are a compassionate person.

When I was a christian, I use to honestly get depressed when I taught about why God would let children die in Africa from every sort of thing. I asked myself, why would a God who's supposed to be loving and good let innocent good people die? Why would he let women in Congo get raped repeatedly on a daily basis. And I came across this verse in Roman's 9:15 and I swear that verse changed my outlook on life forever. The verse says "15For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.
16So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy"

This verse really struck me as frigging cold, so as I dey like this the only reason am doing well is because God decided to have mercy on me, he showed compassion to me and that is why I am able to jolly. But for the loser woman/child/man in Uganda, Somalia, indonesia, pakistan, Sudan etc obviously their own luck has run out. Our heavenly father, has chosen to not show mercy/compassion on them, and well I guess that is their lot in life. This is basically my attitude right now, there is no need to be having pity on such people anymore because they are obviously losers. If God in all his wisdom, could not see it within himself to have mercy on kids such as this child who was stalked by the vulture, why should I a mere human being now have mercy/pity on such a kid? I mean God is wiser than me isn't he? He has already showed that the boy below is not worthy of his mercy. I wonder what I have that that little boy does not have, that the almighty would choose to show mercy/compassion on lil ole me and then neglect to show the same mercy on this boy being stalked by a vulture waiting for it to die.
If you were God for a day, would you have mercy on this kid?

In conclusion, most of you might not agree with my analysis of this. But more than one of you have wondered about why God would let kids suffer in Africa, Asia etc. Why woulld a loving God let kids live in such misery? I hope that I have clearly proven to you all why such things happen under the almighty's watchful eye. Because he alone decides who he'll show mercy to and who he won't show mercy to. You feel me?

I didn't even have to read your whole text to realize that you are going down another trail that is so common to this blog.
Human compassion is a joke? People like you are the joke, not compassion.
If we were all like you, cynical to a fault about every good thing that is part of the human race, then the world would be chaotic. Search more into what happened in LA after the flood, and see the power of compassion.

Yes, 40 countries signed the KPCS...actually there are about 10 more to the count since the movie came out. But you know what, that is a start. Rome was not built in a day...and you can't expect everybody to turn a new leaf overnight.

The same God who says I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, is the same who says, if my people pray...then I will hear them and come to them.
You can pick and choose which part of the Bible you want to read to make your statements come true...and thats fine. But do not blame God for your misgivings. God is not your trailer trash, nor your servant to do your bidding. If men cannot help men, that is not God's doing, that is your doing.

You say you used to get depressed about the Children dying in Africa...what did you do about it?> How much money did you shell from you pleasure-seeking life, to help these kids? What sacrifice did you take to make sure that at least ONE child, was able to get out of their misery.
Why would a loving God let these kids live in misery? the question is..."why would you let them live in misery?"....
If anything, its is not human compassion that is lacking...it is that, people, you being a good example, are bloody hypocrites. I am one of them too. But I am also aware that compassion, kindness, love...that is what keeps people going.
Do not mock people's work. There is a lot of good being done, and I will be damned if you are going to cheapen their work, and sweat, all because you are full of bullocks. ALl because your lazy arse wants to moan and complain about life, instead of doing something about it.

Stop blaming God, and do something...(if you care so much) but if you don't, let others do something, and stop bitching about it.

Okay...that was my very annoyed self speaking above.

My rational part of me, would answer this.
Yes, there are a lot of bad things in the world. And sometimes, it seems that God does not care about what happens. But we can't speculate on what we cannot see.
However, we can speculate on what is...and that is the thousands of people who are working to make the world a better place. People who are working day and night to feed the homeless, to get people into shelters....get children into schools...
does that mean that human suffering will end with a snap...probably not. But that cannot stop us from trying. One step at a time.

Crazy Heifer..
Lol @ me being the one who picks and choose which part of teh bible to read to make your statements come true..

@if my people pray...then I will hear them and come to them

Umm so ur sayin that he has not come to the help of those children, because they have not prayed to him?? Or maybe if they were christian he wud have more mercy on them?

as for what i've done for kids in africa, i told u the other day about what i pledged to start doing, adn what i've started doing.. That in itself is a sacrifice..

Azazel said...

@ Sunnyside..
How does one write something that helps eradicate suffering?
U can't just write something, and expect that all sufferin stops..
I myself, donate money to charities.. It is never enough, and i wish I could donate all my money but my selfish self always wins out 4rm my compassionate side, from time to time...
And i freely admit that.

The way you described how you felt when you're a christain and how you feel now, I think you still are believing in God.

Do your own thing my Azazel. Wait for no human compassion and wait for no God. Just do what you can and leave the rest. Thats what those 40 countries that signed did.

Azazel, firstly i think it is right for countries to make such considerations before stepping in to stop a genocide. take for instance, U.S decides to carry out a genocide in Kenya for god knows what reason, it would be foolishness for Naija govt to try to rescue Kenya cuz the U.S powers is nothing compared to what we have, and the govt would only be acting recklessly, and causing more loss of lives if they decide to step in against U.S. in school, they teach peace and conflict studies. the use of dialogue could come in very handy here, we could reason with them, pray for them, refuse to trade with them, but fighting them would be stupidity, don't you think?

secondly, God does not love that people are dying. God created man and made him the head over the earth. we are in charge of things that happen here. it is man who decides to make life easy or miserable for himself. it is the mentality that God controls everything that is killing the world. me and you are in charge of the world. it is your duty to reach out to the poor, look out for your neighbor, cuz as the bible rightly says 'love is the greatest gift' if we could show love, and stop being selfish, and stop trying to get God to take the blame for our shortcomings, i believe the world would be a better place.

That's why I won't wear diamonds. Told my bf if he ever proposed to get me a rock-free ring. He is not happy about it but it's my finger and I'll be rock-free if i want to.

@ Azazel
What is disturbing is that you sound very much like the founder of this blog...eche, aka controversy.

Do not take my words and twist them. No one says that the kids are not praying hard enough...and the fact that you utter the words..well...
All I am saying, you choose a scripture, and put it out of context.
You read the scripture right...what does it say before....and after those words of "mercy"
Azazel, recap for me please.

And refrain from using Heifer...I am not a cow.

and while I am making your day....
tell me how you can speculate on what you don't see, on what you don't know.
have you ever thought that Compassion is a joke because of you, and your mouth that has a case of bad diarrhea?
Speculations is man, and man is speculative, however, that does not mean that you breathe air, and start speculating on whether God is killing you by the same air that he provides for you to breathe.

Hey, what's up! I've been following your blog small small. Interesting points you raise, and what interests me even more is, you guys sound like the same person. Like it's blogo-phrenia going on. Hmmm.

Anywayz, sorry I dont have anything 2 contribute 2 the ongoing topic.

lmao @ God does not love the people that are dying..
Hmm maybe u are right, idk.
But @ i think it is right for countries to make such considerations before stepping in to stop a genocide.

And am sure u would have that same mentality if it was ur own family and relatives getting slaughtered ehn? Would u still think tht countries should make certain considerations b4 stoppin massacres if ur own family was being slaughtered?

@ Reine
Lmao u are amazing, so speculation is a man and man is speculation? hahahha..
So what is faith? Aren't u speculatin when u talk about faith? Ur dealing with things u cannot see not hear, so please stop twistin ur own words..
Hey if u want to read the remainin words in romans 9:15 i suggest u go on google, search Romans 9 and read it. Then u can come prove to me that I have distorted the facts..I should recap for u? Why can't u go recap for ur smart self? Are u that lazy, that u cannot read the whole chapter and come prove to me that I am wrong?
Ur whole comment doesn't provide one iota of proof that I am wrong.. Why? Because u don't have any evidence to prove that I am wrong.. So please, until u are capable of readin ur bible and bringin in evidence stop makin silly comments.

@ lucidilith
That is a very wise decision u made.. Thank u for being conscious of such things.. People go to the stores and buy things, without thinkin of the blood that has been shed so that those things can get to them..

we all gt that its sad and all how ppl suffer buh i dont get why you always have 2 make God look lyk the bad guy..if u no longer bliv, is it ur goal to convert everyone else over 2 atheism? what do u hope 2 achieve serzly? you probably dont even have all your facts right cuz not evrythn in the bible shld be taken literally...
abeg u cn lyk 2 me liberal when u're sharing ur atheist views...
just sayin...

Azazel said...

@ Hopeless
U to u can like to talk with facts and not assumptions..
When did I ever say that I am an atheist? How do u know that I am an atheist? Who is tryin 2 make God to be like a bad guy? Lmao
Ur talkin like I put the verse in the bible, the friggin verse is right there for u to see..
@ the bible should not be taken literally...
U mean the parts of the bible u don't agree with should not be taken literally ehn?
Only the parts that u agree withshould be taken literally.

I am not going to get into a religious vs faith talk with u azazel.
I am not a christian apologetic nor do I want to be one...but since you are acting you do know what christianity and the Bible is all about, I was hoping you would enlighten me.
tough luck for me I gues.

Reine
Just admit that u have nothing to back up ur argument. I still have not seen any evidence that disclaims what I quoted from the bible as "untrue"...
Am beginnin to think that u can't provide one. So until then, please pick up a couple of the bible, turn to Romans 9 and read it.
Lol I can't even take u seriously, because u just have nothing to offer than make silly statements.. Can u just for once, bring something that countermands my argment?

dmuragijimana said...

I never claimed that what you said was untrue.
Out of context and un true are terms u might want to be familiar with and learn the difference between the two.

Azazel said...

Ok.. U claimed it was out of context...

Where is ur proof that it was out of context???
I can claim that president obama is not a US citizen, but if I have no proof to back up that claim..
I become a NUT!!!...
Bring proof to back up ur claim, and then we can have a spirited discussion/argument. Am sure ur used to just makin statements, and not backin ur statements up with logic.. Am sorry that has to end here.

controversy

Reine is so right.you take my words and twist them. i never said God loves that people die. God grieves that men die, because God has given man all ability to live a happy life and yet man somehow manages to create strife and suffering. and in the midst of strife and suffering, it is easier to blame God. God grieves that men, despite all the power given to him just prefers to sit down and cry like you do.

on the gonocide issue
take for instance, armed robbers attack a home, armed to the teeth and meets the family at home and start to shoot, and during the shooting their neighbour comes home and rushes into their home empty handed to help them. what kind of stupid humanitarian service is that. when that neighbour dies, people would cry for his stupidity.

do i really have to explain these things to you in simpler terms than i use for my ten year old sister. it makes me suspect that you already know the answer to these things and just go ahead to post them anyway cuz they are controversial. but if you really think that all these things you say is the truth, then it makes me think of the bible verse that says

'a fool says in his heart that there is no God' so true.

this might sound a bit rude, and i am sorry for that, i am just angry that you deliberately twisted my words. that is so wrong!

Azazel said...

@ HYAW
Umm am azazel not controversy.. Get it right..
Moreover, how am i twistin ur words? Or did u not type wat i said u typed? Holon lemme copy and paste.

U first typed this
- Azazel, firstly i think it is right for countries to make such considerations before stepping in to stop a genocide. take for instance, U.S decides to carry out a genocide in Kenya for god knows what reason, it would be foolishness for Naija govt to try to rescue Kenya cuz the U.S powers is nothing compared to what we have, and the govt would only be acting recklessly, and causing more loss of lives if they decide to step in against U.S.

Then u typed this
- secondly, God does not love that people are dying. God created man and made him the head over the earth. we are in charge of things that happen here. it is man who decides to make life easy or miserable for himself.

Lmao @ God grieves that men die..
Hahhaha u know this how? How do u know that he grieves?? Are u there with him when he cries? Lmao HYAW i can't even have an argument with u, because it is obvious that ur level of understandin when it comes to the bible is not yet mature.. Lmao @ God grieves..
The same God dat grieves is the same one dat sent a flood to destroy the world abi? or is it the same God that destroyed two cities sodom and gomorrah? Lmao u are crackin me up mehn

there's suffering in the world because there is evil in the world, whether u blive in God or not that much is true. children are sick and die in war torn countries bcos of the power games men are playing, wat is God supposed to do, come down from heaven and kill the bad guys? What i have always known about God is that he gave us a choice, freewill. even if u dont believe in God at least you cant deny that there are options. God touches the hearts of His people to give, to do and to help and those that can usually do.

the last time one man saved the world, it fell again. Daily people give their all to save the world, it falls and they get back up the next morning to try again.

Azaael i know you have ur views and are free to air them, what is not right is to take the very foundations of peoples beliefs and make a mockery of them just because you dont share them. If a persons faith in God is what gets them by, toying with it is a very cruel thing to do. We can all share our opinions and beliefs without name calling and the like.

I find this blog intriguing because it helps me validate what i believe in(oddly) please dont make it distasteful.

Azazel said...

Neo am sorry but I am student of history..
But can u refresh my memory???
When was the last time a man saved the world???

Lmao @ If a persons faith in God is what gets them by, toying with it is a very cruel thing to do. We can all share our opinions and beliefs without name calling and the like.

U are not serious? If the faith the person has is not founded on truth then it deserves to be critized..
What mockery did i make of it? I pointed out serious facts that are in the bible.. How is that mockery?? Lmao

Neo said...

Who made u the litmus test for what is truth and what not? What deserves to be criticized or not? anyway its easy to point fingers and say whatever we want from under the cloak of anonymity. Thats why blogger exists.

As a history student and such a knowledgeable authority on the Bible, the last time a man died for the world was when Jesus did. Abi that part of the bible doesnt work for your argument, since we all like to pick the parts we like?

Azazel said...

Lmaoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ahahhahahaahahahahahhahaahahhaha omg I am dead..

Please this is what u typed NEo.
U said
@ the last time one man saved the world, it fell again.

U never said anything about dying, u said "SAVED"???
Chai it's so hard to take ppl like u seriously mehn, cus yall just don't argue with facts..
